To you, what does New Age mean? We are all part of a big, beautiful family called Humankind. Some of us are easily contented in living in the here and now, and our world is satisfied with our present preoccupations, and that is just fine. But because we are all unique, some of us are different, some of us think about things beyond the garden, what is out there, and we wonder. We ask questions about abstract things. For many of us common answers provided by such institutions such as government, academia, common religions, and society itself do not provide the in depth answers our hearts need. For those of us who tend to see things deeply, simplistic surface answers do not work.
Society and indeed Humankind are changed by deep thinking dreamers whose questions form how we see the world. Traditional Christian religion is fine for traditional people who need to feel secure in a traditional spiritual institution. But for many of us, our questions are not so much about how great, powerful, and judgmental God is, and how we are to get in His favor by fearing Him and obeying His commands. Our questions are more about how important and at what point do we as the individual begin to matter and become important. I have asked myself that all my life. I always knew how important God is, but that was never my question. Where do I fit in and what setting do I belong where my contribution can live forever is always how I looked at life. I am seeing many others with this question and viewpoint emerging that need to find an answer.
Religion is nothing more than any one society’s viewpoint on spirituality. As society advances, then it would follow that society’s view on spirituality would widen as well. In Medieval times religion was part of the government, performing much the same roles of creating fear of punishment and control of populational behavior. That is still much the role of Christianity today. The important function of explaining our uniqueness and the importance of ourselves as gifted individuals is still ignored completely. That ironically is one of the primary functions and responsibility of true spirituality and religion. New Age, as I see it through New Age Religion or New Age Christianity, is the view that the one searching is as important as that for which we are searching. Put simply, we are looking for evidence that we matter, and we are important somewhere. When we find and are assured of that, then we can find the setting and role we can play where we truly belong.
This is opposite to how we traditionally were taught to find our answers. And the greatest evidence of this is not found often in religious conformity, but in the ranks of non-religious individuals who have found their roles brilliantly in Humankind being their highest selves. These highest spiritual level people are in society everywhere and have always been there even before Christianity was ever started. This parable will best explain what I have found to best represent God’s truth:
When God had finished creating everything, He was amazed at all the beauty. So, He decided to immerse Himself in the midst of His creation to enjoy fully its magnificence. That is when and why He spoke, ‘Let us make man in our own image.’ And God became man. Jesus is referred to in holy scriptures as, ‘the son of Man’. That may be why.
Not all God created likenesses realize their God createdness. Some are born with the ability to realize and attain their highly moral and spiritual nature in their lifetimes. Others are born with no such ability to either perceive or acquire such spiritual awareness. Those are the reptilians, and their identity dies when they die.
Some of us are born with complete capabilities and resources in our life paths. Others are born extremely needful, and many are born with no physical or mental ability to understand and care for themselves. There is no inequity in that. We have the honor of caring for them, loving them and providing for their needs. Need does not mean lack of status or spiritual value. God himself says, ‘What you do to the least of these, you do unto me.’ That is proof to me that all life is connected.
Spirituality and morality are not based upon what religious denomination is correct theologically. All religions are based upon this error that debate upon correct religious points indicate spiritual maturity. The virtues of character, honor, servitude, and sense of our personhood are not conveyed or acquired through understanding of the true religious denomination. Character, and all the attributes of it are conveyed separately by themselves through teaching those attributes specifically. It is not acquired through becoming a Christian, or follower of any other religion because we claim to be a convert. Neither is character, and all its attributes acquired through academia in college or from being born into some sacred genetic line. Character and all its attributes are taught by all people who have it, in all walks of life in every culture, land and tribe that has ever populated every place on earth.
New Age or New Age Christianity is the awareness that the highest level of behavior is attained in character, and all its attributes as seen in all the actions we do and, in all relationships, we form from it. Any religiously taught perspective has absolutely nothing whatsoever to do with it. What matters is whatever religious perspective makes the most sense to you and comforts you the most is the right perspective for you. That is called, ‘seeing things through your own eyes,’ which is the first one of your seven spiritual activities God has given to you. Humankind is a vast sea of different perspectives with unlimited potential, all of them right, about something. How do you see something that has always interested you? What way do you see something that you are completely passionate about?
Just for the record, this is an emotional and spiritual encouragement ministry. We are selling nothing here and are not at the present time even set up to take donations, and probably never will. Your healed life is our reward enough, and we are very pleased with that. If you want to, please share your strength with others in your future so our nurturing can live on.
